DR. KONG TUNG-KIN explains to a patient the effect of his medication. KONG WAI-MUI, his nurse, who is also his step-sister, urges him to hurry up. Keeping KIN in the dark, MUI refers the patient to the Chinese medical practitioner next door. SUNG CHOR-KIU, the Chinese medical practitioner, is no one else but her mother. KIN’s father, KONG CHI-TAT, visits KIN’s mother, KAM WAH-HEI. TAT is rude to HEI. HEI has been tyrannized by MUI all these years. KIN blames TAT for fooling around. KIN decides to put up at the laboratory for the time being while he works on the development of a new drug. DR. MAN KA-LING, who is a pharmacologist, tells KIN that a pharmaceutical company has agreed to support their project. However, they soon discover that the company has been bought up by Hong Zhi Pharmaceutical Co Ltd. KIN and LING run into TONG GING-TIN, CEO of Hong Zhi, as they are leaving Hong Zhi.
