The Peshwa stops Vahini's vicious tirade against Manu's character by recounting the bravery of Bharat's female warriors. Later, the Peshwa urges Nana to toughen up psychologically and get inspired by Manu's courage. As preparations are on to worship nine girls in the lead-up to Indu's wedding, the Peshwa's assertion that Manu be one of those girls angers Vahini.
